Job Description
Our client is the owner of a Golf and Country Club based in Dorset. They are currently seeking a Membership Sales Manager to drive their health and fitness and golf sales at the club. This position would be ideal for a Senior Sales steeping up to a first Sales Manager role in a premium environment but may equally appeal to a candidate looking to broaden their sales experience with a background in mainstream health and fitness sales.
The role will involve:
- Supervising a small team of sales executives on a daily basis.Motivating staff, implementing sales initiatives and producing weekly action plans.
- Reaching and regularly exceeding personal sales targets for the day, week and month.
- Successfully selling joining packages by undertaking guided tours of the premises, providing a thorough explanation of the facilities available, discussing prices and negotiating discounts for bulk sales (e.g. corporate packages).
- Contacting existing members regarding special promotions and offers for friends and family.
Responsible for organising and participating in off-site promotional activities - Preparing daily spreadsheets on individual staff performance, analysing figures, conducting comparisons with previous sales figures and identifying training needs.
- Adopting a flexible approach at all times in order to deal with the high amount of walk-in enquires and phone calls that are received each day
- Converting enquiries into confirmed sales.
- Working shift hours which include late evenings and weekends.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within a Membership Sales role and be passionate about the Health and Fitness Industry and/or Golf industry.
- Salary offered is £20-24k basic plus commission OTE £26-£30k Uncapped
