General Manager - Public Operator
Job Description
My client is a leading public leisure operator within the UK. They are currently looking for a General Manager for one of their sites based in North London.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Overall centre performance
- Delivering excellent customer service throughout the site (70% customer facing role)
- Ensuring the facilities are presentable, well maintained and clean
- Business success
- Brand delivery and roll-out
- People management and training
- Promoting and developing the services at the site to the wider community
- Technical Health and Safety
- P & L, full financial responsibility
You will need to have:
- A proven track record and a full range of previous experience managing in busy wet and dry leisure centres
- A demonstrable track record of significant achievements in the areas of business and commercial objectives, product growth and development and excellent customer service
- Evidence of achieving results and making change happen through leadership and influence
- A leisure degree or equivalent professional qualifications
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and other relevant leisure related legislation
- Up to date knowledge of developments in leisure, fitness and healthy lifestyles
- Knowledge of key performance indicators and their application and how they can be used to effect improvement
- Sound understanding of financial control, budgets and monitoring
Salary and Package:
£34 - £40k, plus Bonus & Benefits
