Children's Activity Manager
Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager of this premium health & fitnesclub, the Children's Activity Manager will provide a world class nursery provision through effective leadership of their team. Please note this role ss for MATERNITY Cover only.
Your key roles will be to ensure compliance with company procedures, Ofsted and the Early Years Framework, Children's Act, Health and Safety legislation and other legislative authorities. You will work to create a stimulating and motivating environment for all whilst maintaining and developing a profitable business
We require a hands on, operational Manager who has proven experience in driving a large successful and engaged team of nursery staff. We are also looking for a manager who can demonstrate a history of; planned activities, team coaching and training, creating business plans, working as part of bigger business and understanding new trends and guidelines. It is key that you are able to take on marketing initiatives and can market your product to the local community.
To be successful in this role we require the following set of skills and attributes:-
Proven understanding of Early Years Framework and OFSTED requirements
Knowledge of local competitors, market opportunities
Flexible working hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays
NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent approved qualification)
A good knowledge of driving a nursery P&L and/or profit centre
Leading and motivating teams with an open style
Desire to drive change, high energy and open minded
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good organisation and attention to detail
Ability to create and sustain enthusiasm and team atmosphere at work
Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
